Permission to Recharge!!

This is your permission slip to RECHARGE!! That's right...give yourself permission to escape from your every day routine for a moment or two just to be by yourself. If you work in an office, take that lunch time to take a walk, listen to music on your I-Pod, run, exercise or just go to a near by park and listen to the birds sing. If you have a family take this time after the day has wound down...or even in the morning before everything gets started. Find this time anywhere you can...If everyone else is watching TV...slip out of the room and find a quiet spot of your own. By taking this small amount of time for yourself you will begin to recharge your own energy level. You will feel more connected to who you are and what you can accomplish. There is nothing selfish about wanting a little RECHARGE TIME....so go ahead! Plug yourself into YOU!
Artfully Yours,
Pattie

I love it Pattie. This is so true and so essential, and the folks around you, be it family, rends, neighbors, or coworkers will probably be more hankful you did so.

I need the permission to recharge Patti the holidays seem to stress me quite a bit. With all the running around and last minute shopping. I hope you have a happy holiday season, and thanks again for the beautiful gift.

Love, love, love. I've just finished constructing my spring wish tree from some sticks I found outside my hotel and the ribbon yarn I'm using for a shawl, but I was having trouble writing the wish papers to hang from the "branches." As soon as I saw this blog, I realized that I don't need to express my wishes, I need to give myself permission to DO those things. So it has become a spring permission tree instead. Thank you!!!

Pattie,
I've spent a delightful half hour browsing through your blogs! I'm taking "permission to recharge"! After about 18 years of NOT painting on a canvas--I have just begun a painting!! Hurray for me. I decided to blog it so I'd make time for it (and myself) EVERY day.
I've decided it's MY time again. (Besides that, I'm about ready to have a nervous breakdown having a teenager learn how to drive!)
